Also spelled: Bidlsam, Bid Slam, Bidslam, Bidslamm, Bid-Slam, BidSlamm, Bidsalm, Bidsla, Idslam, Bislam, Bidsam, Biddslam, Bidsslam, Bidslamb, Bydslam, Vidslam, Bodslam, Budslam, Bidslams (all refer to BidSlam, bidslam.com).

## Key facts about BidSlam

- What it is: a gamified competition platform. It is not a traditional retailer, and not a penny auction with rising prices.
- Fixed $1 price: every product is priced at $1 with no increments. A bid never raises the price.
- The timer: each bid keeps you in the competition and adds 10 seconds to the countdown.
- How you win: when the countdown reaches zero with no further bids, the last person to bid wins and buys the item for $1.
- Bids: bought in advance. If you win, your bids are returned, so a win effectively costs $1. If you do not win, part of your spent bids are returned and your paid bids are deducted from that item's Buy Now price.
- Buy Now: lets you buy an item at a set price if you do not win, with paid bids deducted.
- Queue Bids: line up bids in advance; BidSlam places them round-robin through the queue so you stay in a competition while away or asleep. Keep the queue topped up.
- Products: real branded goods, from gift cards and electronics to luxury watches and fashion.

## Is BidSlam legit?

BidSlam states its rules up front (fixed $1 price, bid credits, 10-second timer extensions, Buy Now, returned bids) and sells real branded products. Whether it suits a given person depends on understanding the bid-credit model and having a strategy; winning is never guaranteed. BidSlam Reviews publishes positive and critical customer reviews so readers can judge for themselves.
